When welding plastic products, ultrasonic plastic welding machines do not add any adhesives, fillers or solvents, nor consume a large amount of heat sources. They have the advantages of simple operation, fast welding speed, high welding strength, and high production efficiency. Therefore, ultrasonic welding technology is becoming increasingly widely used.
1、 The working principle of ultrasonic plastic welding machine.
When ultrasonic waves act on the contact surface of thermoplastic materials, they generate tens of thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second. This high-frequency vibration, which reaches a certain amplitude, transmits ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the upper welded part. Due to the high sound resistance at the interface between the two welds, local high temperatures are generated. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of plastics, they cannot dissipate in a timely manner and accumulate in the welding area, causing the contact surface of the two plastics to quickly melt. After adding a certain amount of pressure, they merge into one. After the ultrasound stops working, let the pressure continue for a few seconds to solidify and form a strong molecular chain, achieving the purpose of welding. The welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material. The quality of ultrasonic plastic welding depends on three factors: the amplitude of the transducer's welding head, the applied pressure, and the welding time. The welding time and welding head pressure can be adjusted, and the amplitude is determined by the transducer and the amplitude lever. When these three quantities are used together, there is an appropriate value. When the energy exceeds the appropriate value, the melting amount of plastic is large, and the welded material is prone to deformation; If the energy is small, it is not easy to weld firmly, and the applied pressure cannot reach a high level. The optimal pressure is the product of the edge length of the welding part and the optimal pressure per 1mm of the edge.
2、 The method of ultrasonic plastic welding
1. The ultrasonic vibration of the fusion welding method is transmitted by the welding head to the welded part. Due to the high sound resistance at the two welded parts, local high temperatures are generated, causing the interface of the welded part to melt. Under certain pressure, achieve a beautiful, fast, and sturdy fusion effect between the two welded parts.
2. Insert nuts or other metals into plastic workpieces using the embedding method. Firstly, ultrasonic waves are transmitted to the metal, which undergoes high-speed vibration to directly embed the metal object into the formed plastic. At the same time, the plastic is melted and solidified to complete the embedding process.
3. The riveting method aims to join metal and plastic or two pieces of plastic with different properties. Ultrasonic riveting can be used to make the welded part less brittle, aesthetically pleasing, and sturdy.
4. Spot welding method uses small welding heads to weld two large plastic products in points, or a row of toothed welding heads are directly pressed onto two plastic workpieces to achieve the effect of spot welding.
5. The molding method uses ultrasonic waves to instantly melt plastic workpieces into shape. When plastic solidifies, it can make metal or other materials of plastic firm.
6. The cutting method utilizes a special design of the welding head and base. When the plastic workpiece is just shot out, it is directly pressed onto the plastic branch, and the cutting effect is achieved through ultrasonic conduction.
